DIY – Crochet Devil – Free Pattern

 

Crochet is my hobby and I made this soft toy – devil. You can make this toy for your kids or only for decoration kids room. I use this toy for fix the curtains.
I want to share you the pattern and you can make this cute toy too. I hope that you will understand this pattern.

Material:

Yarns White,  Black and Red
Hook No 3.75 (American)
Cotton
2 Chenille stems or wire long 50 cm black or dark  colour ( if you want, you can only fill with cotton )
Sewing needle, Switching pin or you can use only small piece of yarn

Abbreviations:

 MR – magical ring    
CH – chain stitch   
Sl St – slipstitch
SC- single crochet   
DC – double crochet   
HDC – half double crochet   
INC – single crochet increase   
DEC – decrease (stitch two together)   
3-double crochet Cluster Stitch   
SC2tog – 2 single crochet worked off together

 HEAD
 Crochet the red yarn.
1.round – 8 SC to MR
2.round –  (INC) 8 X = 16
3.round – (1 SC, INC) 8X = 24
4.round – (2 CS, INC) 8X = 32
5.round – 32 SC
6.round – 3 SC, 3 SC into the next eye, 8 SC, 3 SC to the next eye, 6 SC, 3 SC to the next eye, 8 SC, 3 SC to the next eye, 3 SC = 40
7.-8.round – 40 SC
9.round – 20 SC, INC, 5 SC, INC, 6 SC, INC, 5 SC, INC = 44
10.round – 44 SC
11.round – (INC, 21 SC) 2X = 46
12.round – 46 SC
13.round – (INC, 22 SC) 2X = 48

Fill the head

Finish work, hide the yarn inside the head.

EYES – twice

The eye consists of two parts that need to be sew together
Eye puppil – twice
Black embroidery thread or yarn, hook 1.7 mm
1.round – 2 CH, to the second eye from the hook: 3 DC, 1 HDC, 2 SC, 1 DC, 1 CH, 2 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 1 CH, 1 HDC

Finish work, leaving longer yarn for stitching.
Eye white – twice
White embroidery thread or yarn, hook 1.7 mm
1 round – 4 CH, to the second eye from the hook 2 SC, 1 SC, 4 SC into the next eye, turn, 1 SC, INC = 10
2 round – ((1 SC, INC) 2 X, 1 SC) 2X = 14
3.round – (1 SC, INC, 3 SC, INC, 1 SC) 2X = 18
4.round – 7 SC, DEC, 1 SC, DEC, 6 SC = 16

Finish work and leave a longer end.
Sew a puppil to the eye white. Gently fills eye and sew the eyes between the 11th and 18th round,
spread evenly on both sides of the nose

CAP – twice

Yarn of red colour
1.round – 6 SC to MR
2.round – (INC) 6X = 12
3.round – (1 SC, INC) 6X = 18
4.round – (INC, 1 SC, INC, 6 SC) 2X = 22
5.round – fold in half, and crochet together 11 SC = 11

Finish work and leave a longer end.

Sew the eyelids over the eye

NOSE

Yarn of red colour
1.round – 4 CH, to the second eye from the hook: INC, 1 SC, 4 SC in one chain, on the other side of the chain 1 SC, INC = 10
2.round – (INC, 4 SC) 2X = 12
3.round – 12 SC = 12

Finish work and leave a longer end.
Fill lightly to form the nose and sew between the 16-18 round of the head.

EARS – twice

Do not fill ears,only  fold, form, and stitch to the head.
Yarn of red colour
1.round – 6 SC to MR
2.round – (1 SC, INC) 3X = 9
3.round – 9 SC
4.round – (2 SC, INC) 3X = 12
5.round – (INC, 5 SC) 2X = 14
6.round – 1 SC, INC, 6 SC, INC, 5 SC = 16
7.round – 2 CS, INC, 7 SC, INC, 5 SC = 18
8.-9.round – 18 SC
10. round – (7 SC, DEC) 2X = 16
11.round – 3 SC, do not finish the round. Fold and crochet over both edges.
12.round – work through front and back side together DEC, 3 SC, DEC, connect Sl St into the first DEC.
Finish work and leave a longer end

HORNS – twice

Yarn of black colour
1.round – 4 SC to MR
2.round – INC, 3 SC = 5
3.round – INC, 1 SC, INC, 2 SC = 7
4.round – (1 SC, INC) 2X, 3 SC = 9
5.round – 2 SC, INC, 1 SC, INC, 4 SC = 11
6.round – 11 SC
7.round – DEC, 2 SC, (INC) 2X, 2 SC, DEC, 1 SC = 11
8.round – 4 SC, INC, 1 SC, INC, 4 SC = 13
9.round – 5 SC, INC, 1 SC, INC, 5 SC = 1
10.round – DEC, 6 SC, (HDC, 1 CH, HDC) – to the next eye, 5 SC, DEC, move the mark.
Finish work and leave a longer end.
Sew the horns this same line with eyes.

BODY

We do buttocks:

We lead the first stretch of red yarn to the centre of the back in the 3th round and go across the neck. The second end of red yarn insert into the centre of the back at 17 round and expire in the centre of the neck. Get a line from the yarn in the middle of the lower part of the body. Tighten, slowly and accurately tighten the end and fix yarn with knot.
The tail will be placed above buttocks.

NAVEL

3 CH,
Bring the yarn over the hook from back to front
insert the hook into 3th chain from the hook, go throw chain out,
Bring the yarn over the crochet chain from back to front. You have three loops on the hook.
Bring the yarn over the crochet hook from back to front through the first two loops on the hook.
You have two loops on the hook.
In the same stitch, repeat the preceding step 3 times
Bring the yarn over the crochet chain from back to front.
You have six loops on the hook and now you go throw over all loops on the hook.
Finish the job.
The navel sew at the centre of the stomach.

THUMB – twice

3.round – 2 SC, 2 HDC, 2 SC = 6
End work, leaving longer yarn.

Fill the hand
10.round – (3 SC, DEC) 4X = 16

Fill the hand

Fold the flat end of the hand and finish the job, leaving the yarn on the stitch.

Fill legs firmly so that your legs to can stand with the body.

TAIL

Tail is 45 cm long.
Put two long chenille stems together or wire and twist them.  Approximately 3.8 – 5 cm must be visible from the end of crochet.

1.round – 5 SC to MR
2.round – 5 SC
3.round – INC, 4 SC = 6
insert the chenille stems
4.-55.round – 6 SC = 6
56.round – 2 SC, (HDC2tog) 2X, 2 SC = 8
Finish work and leave a longer end of the sewing yarn above the buttock.

HEART

Yarn of red colour
1.round-6 SC to MR
2.round – (INC) 6X = 12
3.round – (1 SC, INC) 6X = 18
Make the second part, the 4th round crochet both parts together.
4.round -crochet one top SC2tog  (1 SC connecting both parts), 14 SC, SC2tog Work on Second Top, SC2tog, 14 SC, SC2tog = 32
5.round – (1 SC, DEC, 10 SC, DEC, 1 SC) 2X = 28
6.round – 1 SC, DEC, 8 SC, (DEC) 3X, 8 SC, DEC – change mark of start = 22
7.round – 9 SC, SC3tog, 9 SC, SC3tog, – change mark of start = 18
8.round – 18 SC
Fill heart gently, but at the same time enough to get a form.
9.round – (1 SC, DEC) 6X = 12
10.round – (2 SC, DEC) 3X = 9
11.round – (1 SC, DEC) 3X = 9
12.round – DEC, 4 SC = 5
Finish the work and hide the yarn inside the heart.
Stitch all parts of the devil. You can look on my video where I complete my devil.
